Spice Up Your Eating

The hunt for the perfect condiment!

What sauces, herbs, condiments do you usually reach out for to spice up your eating?

We Pinoys have such a strong habit for “sawsawan”. We love tasty food and our vast range of condiments at our home (and even in restaurants) are proof of that.

I am one person who can’t eat without “sawsawan”. Jon on the other hand is not used to having “sawsawan” but not anymore. Since we got together, I introduced him to the wonderful world of having “sawsawan” in every meal and now, he is addicted like me. Here are some we always got to have in stock at home – all the time.

PATIS. – for sinigang, nilaga, corned beef, tinola etc.

Ketchup. - for fried chicken.

Jon likes Tomato Ketchup while I favor Banana Ketchup. So you see, we have our own ketchup bottles at home.

Toyo with calamansi. - for tortang talong, turbo chicken

or Patis with calamansi. – for bulalo, friend shrimps and crabs.
