Today…

I had this for breakfast. Yeah I know, not your typical food for an early meal but I’m pregnant and my cravings are crazy so let me be. I was happy with it. It started my day on the right track.

After finishing the whole pizza by myself, I headed to the mall for a much needed walking. I had to burn what I ate! Went around looking for red shirts for me and Sophia to wear at my mom’s red and white birthday party this coming Friday. Was able to go around but didn’t see anything suitble for Sophia but I got myself a nice blouse, thank Gawd so that’s off my list now. Paid some bills after and ordered my mom’s cake. It will look something like this photo below, only in red and white of course.

Got the little girl some activity books at Powerbooks after as she is so into coloring and writing lately. I also passed by a furniture store and noticed that office furniture was on sale until the end of the month. I will have to inform my mom as she is currently fixing her personal office at home.

Was not bale to do some early Christmas Shopping but I promise, within the week, I am devoting one whole day for this. I need to get it done before I pop!

~As I was surfing the net for cheap faucets, I ended up shopping online for the little girl. This wasn’t in my plan but after seeing how cheap I could get some stuff online, I can’t help myself. I’m a sucker for bargains you see.

~Tomorrow, we will be having our Mooncake Festival with friends here at home. Since it was Jon who won the grand prize last year, we are in charge of the food. Here’s what we are having which I ordered from a reliable caterer my friend Jacqui recommended.

-Beef Teriyaki
-Pork Hamonado
-Chicken with Corn
-Grilled Blue Marlin with Lemon Butter Sauce
-Pork BBQ
-Fettuccine
-Fruit Salad

I’m sure it’ll be a fun night once again, just like every year we are having it. Good friends Martin, Jacqui and their daughter Marla will spend the night too so I need to prepare lunch for them the next day. The husband is requesting for Wagyu Beef so might troop to Makati Supermarket later to buy Wagyu at Tenderbites.

~Sophia has no class today but she has a scheduled play date with old classmates from TU later this afternoon at Fun Ranch. I’m sure the little girl will be so delighted to see her old friends.

I took Sophia to the pedia today for a flu vaccine. Since its holiday, there was no traffic and traveling from our place to her pedia’s clinic was a breeze. How I wish its holiday everyday! LOL. Since we finished early, I also took her to the dermatologist nearby already so I can show the doctor her recent mosquito bites that have been inflamed. I got the usual, “your daughter’s skin is really sensitive” line again so there’s really not much we can do. She did ask me to purchase a deet free mosquito repellent she personally orders according to her and I did. Now that I think of it, I should have known better. I have tried almost every mosquito repellent in the market but still nothing works. Oh well, maybe I should just return the mosquito repellent next time I visit again and just have it exchanged for a pimple cream which I can personally put to use.

It’s “Linggo ng Wika” at Sophia’s school this week and part of their program is to come in a Filipiniana costume on Friday. I already had her dress made and I was able to buy pink “bakya” for her this morning at the mall too. I didn’t expect to see one so I am so happy. Her outfit is now complete. The mall I went to was having a mall wide sale so imagine how congested it was inside but my trip was worth it as I found what I am looking for. On my way out, I also noticed ellipticals on sale. They were so cheap! Dirt cheap I must say so if you are looking for one, head on to Festival Mall now.
